iWarrior Ultimate Guide, Blogger's edition

This will give newbies (and those looking for an edge) a feel for how things are done in the deep jungle of iWarrior.

The game gets increasingly difficult, so don't get smug about pwning some Zeebs.

I find the best way to play this is with the accelerometer, in the same way if you have a joystick and a mouse for an FPS/ Flight Sim, choose the Joystick

Rhythm
Everything African is about rhythm, if you don't got rhythm, get some. Once you get the rhythm of play, its easy. Rule of thumb; Animals of the same species move at the same speed(This comes with a conditional clause I'll get to later). Get the speed they come in at and nuke 'em with it.

Formation tactics
There are three kinds of animal formations: Groups, isolates and what I like to call the wild goose.

Groups
For groups, it's easy. You see one, you see them all. For most you don't even have to side-step to get the rest. nuke 'em as fast as you can so you can focus on the isolates or get bonuses as they drop by

Isolates
For the isolates, you need to be able to make snap decision and gamble. Sometimes you can get them at the expense of another, but if your lives will permit it, and there are more than one isolates, then it's worth it. Sometimes, you can get all by simply timing your attack right. Once you spot an isolate and you aren't preoccupied, take it out ASAP so it doesn't become an issue as it gets closer to your base.

The wild goose
For the wild goose, my only advice to you is ignore, ignore, ignore... Its better to concede some goals than to try and reach out to something that will only cause you to lose the grouped ones... Rule of thumb with these guys: Think, the greater Good.
You need to know how to spot a wild-goose chase and an isolated target - They are different, and they don't carry name-tags

Instructions at back: Use appropriately
Make sure you use auto fire when you are over-whelmed and not just because you can. Save it for when you really need it.

Rain will only stop the animals in their track, NOT feed them off, so make use of the time you get to clear the screen, closest to furthermost.

Use the Zebras as a learning experience to get your flow. These move in straight lines and in fairly predictable patterns.

Conditional clause for getting the speed and rhythm for each level
Some animals camouflage. Where possible take out an animal as soon as you see it disappear or it will be the death of you. Same goes for the campers (Those that stop and wait for a while before moving in).

Final rule - See this like ping-pong, and try to always position yourself back in the center to make it easier on yourself reaching either side of the screen.

i-Warrior and KIJIJI

The Leti Games team developed iWarrior in 2009. This was the first game the team developed as a commercial product.

The games depicts the struggle of a magical bushman commissioned to defend his village against marauding beasts. The protagonist must ward off zebras, hyenas, 'buffalo' or wildebeest (Gnu) among others. This he does by throwing things (In most cases food) at them to prevent them moving past his position to feed on crops, attack the lifestock or stempede the village itself.

The game is played using either accelerometer or by moving your finger across the screen. Move left and right to make the protagonist move in those directions to deal with animals coming from either side of the screen and tap above him or motion foward to throw. Ever so often, bonuses drop down the screen and can be intercepted to create rain or lightning and thunder. Rain freezes the animals in their trak allowing the protagonist to 'pick them off' with ease. Lightning adn thunder completely clears the screen of all animals currently visible, given the player a chance to regroup.

Each animal comes with its own unique bahaviour. Some move faster than others, some zigzag, some camouflage or idle from time to time, and others require a number of 'hits' to stop them.

KIJIJI is an unreleased J2ME version of iWarrior. Though lacking the use of the accelerometer as found in iWarrior along with some special effects (It needs to work on various types of phones), KIJIJI can be expected to come with some improvements to gameplay and new contents ;-)

LEFA Soccerstar

The Leti Games development team is an African team of game developers... currently, we focus on casual and mobile games - LEFA Soccerstar is one such game, but it's definitely not casual.
The game puts you in the driving seat of 4 characters, we call 'em Avatars. Each avatar represents a role in soccer: Goalie, Defender, Midfielder, Striker

Your task, as a player is to develop each avatar, try and get them into a team... You can play in a Street team, which is unofficial, dog eat dog and chocked full of goodies, or decide to go one step further, and go pro

You can play LEFA Soccerstar on your web Browser or by phone. You have one account so it doesn't matter which platform you decide to log on to.

LEFA Soccerstar is primed to come out to a web browser and J2ME Download site near you...

Release date has been set to June, 2010. Keep watching this space for more.
